Commission lets six more EU countries issue free 2013 carbon permits

LONDON, Jan 20 (Reuters) - The European Commission has given approval for six EU nations including France to issue free 2013 carbon permits, it said Monday, enabling the countries to hand out a total of almost 163 million permits to industry.
